The first training session for automotive homogeneous parts suppliers was successfully held in Beijing.

Summary: To implement the “Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Transformation and Upgrading of the Automotive Repair Industry and Enhancing Service Quality,” the “Administrative Measures for the Implementation of Public Disclosure of Automotive Repair Technical Information,” and the “Decision of the Ministry of Transport on Amending the ‘Regulations on the Administration of Motor Vehicle Repair,’” we aim to foster consensus among automotive parts manufacturers regarding the use of homogeneous parts, create a healthy and orderly development environment for the automotive repair market, and advance the implementation of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s “Program for Cultivating Urgently Needed and Scarce Talents in the Industrial and Information Technology Fields.” By cultivating a group of high-level talent, we seek to achieve a comprehensive breakthrough in the production of core automotive parts using homogeneous parts, thereby helping China’s automotive repair market break free from industry monopolies.

To implement the “Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Transformation and Upgrading of the Automotive Repair Industry and Enhancing Service Quality,” the “Administrative Measures for the Implementation of Public Disclosure of Automotive Repair Technical Information,” and the “Decision of the Ministry of Transport on Amending the ‘Regulations on the Administration of Motor Vehicle Repair,’” and to foster consensus among automotive parts manufacturers regarding the use of homogeneous parts, create a healthy and orderly development environment for the automotive repair market, and advance the implementation of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s “Program for Cultivating Urgently Needed and Scarce Talents in the Industrial and Information Technology Fields,” we organized the first Training Workshop for Automotive Homogeneous Parts Suppliers from February 27 to 28, 2016, in Beijing. The workshop was jointly hosted by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Automotive Repair Parts Working Committee of the China Automotive Repair Industry Association, and the China National Automotive Components Corporation. Sun Shouren, President of the China Automotive Repair Industry Association, attended the workshop and delivered a speech. In his speech, President Sun Shouren clearly outlined the development direction for the training workshop: “We hope that the ‘Automotive Homogeneous Parts Supplier Training Workshop’ will be tailored to the actual production conditions of enterprises, adopting localized approaches and personalized instruction methods. It should combine theoretical training with practical case studies and employ flexible and diverse formats such as technical competitions and certification exams. In terms of training methodology, we should integrate various approaches—including lectures, seminars, and on-site observations—selecting the most appropriate methods and formats to organize the training effectively.”

Regarding this training, President Sun Shouren urged all participants to closely focus on the overall goal and central theme of the homogeneous parts pilot program. He expressed his hope that each participant would successfully complete all the courses required by the training and pass the assessment, thereby earning the “In-demand and Shortage Talent Certificate in the Industrial and Information Technology Sector.” He also encouraged the participating enterprises to smoothly apply for inclusion as pilot units for homogeneous parts and obtain the “Homogeneous Parts Pilot Unit” plaque. Furthermore, he encouraged all participants to put what they’ve learned into practice, aligning their efforts with the actual needs of their own organizations and departments, identifying the best entry points, actively engaging in the development of the homogeneous parts industry, and actively participating in the construction and operation of the pilot operator network, thus promoting the healthy development of the automotive repair market.

The training workshop has invited Wei Tongwei, Secretary-General of the Automotive Repair Parts Working Committee of the China Automobile Maintenance Industry Association; Xie Ying, Deputy Secretary-General; Zhao Jicheng, Director; Yan Hongsheng, Peng Wei, Yang Guangyi, Yang Chaohui, Pan Chaoxi, Wang Guodong, and Wang Zhiyong to serve as instructors. Drawing on their own practical experience and insights, the instructors used numerous detailed examples and focused primarily on homogeneous parts, delivering engaging and informative lectures to senior managers from automotive parts manufacturers across provinces and cities nationwide, as well as senior managers from automotive after-sales repair companies, parts distribution enterprises, and automotive parts e-commerce companies. The lectures covered topics including macro-level overviews, policies and regulations, code identification, inspection and certification, logistics development, chain operations, insurance development, and e-commerce. In addition, the instructors provided thorough answers to questions raised by participants throughout the learning process.

During the training program, the training class strictly adhered to the training regulations and rules, ensuring the seriousness and standardization of the training, enhancing its quality, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere and environment. Following a written examination, the vast majority of participants in the first session of the Automotive Homogeneous Parts Supplier Training Course passed the exam and will receive certificates recognizing them as “urgently needed and scarce talents in the industrial and information technology sectors.” After the completion of the training, and following a review of the pilot-unit application materials submitted by participating companies, the Automotive Repair Parts Working Committee of the China Automobile Maintenance Industry Association designated 34 enterprises as the first batch of pilot units for homogeneous parts. In the pilot phase, these pilot units will join the network of homogeneous parts operators and, guided by the principle of co-construction and shared benefits, will continue to drive forward the pilot work on automotive homogeneous parts.
